Thireteen First Draft edit

For our first draft edit, we managed to get all of the relevant clips in and add music. However, the music was added last minute as to make the deadline. Therefore, the video is over seven minutes long when it should only be two minutes long.

In general, for a first draft, I think that the editing is sufficient and works well for a basis for us to work with. We need to refilm certain parts to ensure that the footage is of the best quality that we can produce.

Once we've refilmed, it should be easier to edit the shot-reverse-shot as the footage we have at the minute isn't good enough to edit effectively.

Update

There was a slight change of plans as to who is acting in our thriller opening.
Alice Malyon and George Bartram were supposed to play the roles of Jasper and Benjamin, however for the weekend we were supposed to be filming, neither of them could make it. Therefore, we had to improvise and think quickly on how to make sure that we were still producing something of good quality.
We decided that Joelle would star in it, as Jasper, and that Elliot would play the role of Benjamin.

The location of the scene between the Jasper and Benjamin in the therapy room as we couldn't use Nottingham Contemporary's Study Room as it is being remodelled at the minute. This meant that we had to rethink where would shoot this important scene. We then decided that we could turn Joelle's summerhouse into a therapy room as there's sofas in there that could resemble those of therapy room.

Production Planning

To come up with the logo for our production company, we decided to base the idea off of something that has meaning to us. The symbol of our friendship is a peach, so we though this would be fitting for our Production logo.
The image of the peach was found on google images, was imported into photoshop so that I could play around with the contrast, colours and  size to make sure that it looked different from the original image.
I found the font used in the logo from Dafont.com. I also found a few others I thought would look good but I didn't try them initially.
I decided to take the theme of the logo to a pink colour scheme.
This is reflective of mine and Joelle's personalities and attitudes.
The colours for the font were picked exactly from the colours of the peach, meaning that all the colours work perfectly together as they're the same.
The background uses a pink to white gradient which fades out at the top. This background adds a bold statement of colour.

This second logo seems to work much better than the first. I colour picked the colour from the peach and made the font the same colour. This ensures that a colour scheme is upheld.
Using photoshop, I took four images of the peach and decreased the opacity on each image. This then resulted in a build-up effect to the peach.
I originally began with the word 'Peach' on top of the word 'Productions' but then I decided to put it sideways and to the left. By doing this, it's very different to the first logo.

Between the two logos, we decided that the second is more suitable for our two minute introduction as it's more subtle and will fit perfectly into the centre/corner of the frame.
